Background
HungerPangs is the latest e-commerce portal on the block with a unique proposition for both its customers
& suppliers. To customers, it is the only portal that offers them a wide variety of restaurants to choose food
from. What is more, its user interface has been designed in a manner to engage customers & to ensure
maximum ease of order placement allowing interactive menu designs, clutter free interface & dynamic
shopping cart. What is more, in order to ensure maximum peace-of-buying-online, everything can be bought
for cash on delivery!
For suppliers - restaurant owners – it’s a unique win-win proposition, whereby they enjoy free online
advertising till the time it actually starts working for them – which means, there is a pay-per-transaction
model which allows them maximum efficiency of advertising online.
Marketing Problem
This business model is very new for Kolkata & hence, HungerPangs is not too sure on how should they
market themselves to the restaurants to ensure maximum supplier acquisition in minimum time.
Objective
Design a Marketing Strategy for Supplier Acquisition in Kolkata
Implement the same to test efficacy & deliver results.
Modify & Finalize model to be scaled up to other cities.
Qualifiers:
2nd year students likely to take up Marketing in final year
Preferably Male
A group of 6 students
Excellent Communication Skills; proficiency in Oral English, Bengali & Hindi
