Designation: Editor and Proofreader (work from home)

Location and Timings: Pune; a five-day week with working hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Required: The Final year 2021 batch  MA or M.Phil. degree in English or a closely related field is preferred.

Job Details: As part of our Editing Team (who are all ardent Grammar Nazis and literature geeks), you would

• Copyedit and proofread a huge variety of documents, including essays, dissertations, résumés, brochures, websites, newsletters, novels, screenplays, short stories and more.

• Improve the clarity, flow, consistency and sentence structure of the writing.

• Ensure the documents are free of all English language errors, including flaws in the grammar, syntax, word choice, punctuation, spelling, etc.

• Give writers critical feedback and suggestions on the documents’ content and organisation.

• Gain knowledge about incredibly diverse fields and build on your English language expertise! 

Candidate Profile: To work on our Editing Team, you will need

• Excellent linguistic skills, with in-depth knowledge of English grammar and a keen eye for detail

– Grammar Nazis, your time has come.

• Strong communication skills and a keen sensitivity to the writer’s intended message.

• Good research skills, with a high level of curiosity and general awareness.

• Strong time management skills, and ability to juggle demanding tasks on tight deadlines.

CTC: Rs. 3 lac per annum, with added performance-based incentives.

Selection Process: The selection process will comprise a brief personal interview and a two-hour editing test.
