 Advertisement for engagement of Young Professionals

Applications are invited from the residents of India for the engagement of the Young Professionals (YP) as per Retainer Consultant & YP Hiring policy of PBSSD for implementation of skill interventions under SANKALP Project in West Bengal. All posts are purely contractual in nature for duration of two years only, which may be extended for 1 more year maximum on the basis of requirement and performance. The applicant should not be more than 30 years of age as on 01.01.2022.

Selection Process:

PBSSD will scrutinize the applications and will call the shortlisted candidates for an interview. The candidate(s) will be selected by an interview taken by Consultant Selection Committee, PBSSD in order of merit.

Application:

The applicants should apply in the online mode only through the web portal www.pbssd.gov.in 

Shortlisted candidates who will be called for the interview must submit photocopies of all testimonials of educational qualification, age proof certificate & experience certificate etc. duly signed by the candidate to the interview panel. If the said documents are not submitted or are found to be not in order, the candidature shall stand cancelled.

Scope of work of the YPs

Young Professionals will be selected for supporting thematic operations of PBSSD. The tenure of YP will be 2 years in general. Based on performance and requirement of PBSSD, extension may be granted for a maximum of one year. Once selected, these YPs will initially invest a months’ time in the field, where they shall be given an opportunity to understand nuances of the skill development ecosystem. After this, they will be tagged with thematic unit of State Project Management Unit (SPMU). YPs will be engaged for supporting following functions carried out by different thematic units of SPMU.

• Mobilization & Counselling

• Monitoring & Evaluation

• IT & MIS

• National Placements & Industry Liasioning

• Entrepreneurship Development

• Overseas Placements

• IEC activities

2. They will contribute in

• Strengthening the existing programme support system

• Developing new and innovative system and policies

• Designing and extending technical assistance products to the districts and sub-district levels.

• Supporting knowledge management and strategic communication

• Review and monitoring activities, including key performance indicators

• Capacity building programmes

• Conducting impact assessment and other studies

• Conducting pilots, special and innovative interventions

These YPs will be selected from listed ranking institutions as per the National Institute of Ranking Framework (NIRF) of Government of India from various disciplines.

3. Eligibility for being YP

a. The eligibility criteria for an individual to apply for YP will be as follow:

• Master's Degree in relevant subject or BE/B.Tech or 2 Years PG Diploma in Management or LLB or possessing any Professional Degree earned after a study of 4 years or more acquired after 10+2.

• These degrees must be obtained from the topmost listed institutions of NIRF ranking for 2019, 20, 21.

• Individuals having requisite educational qualification with work experience in the development sector will also be eligible. However, the experience should not exceed 2 years in total,

• Individual should not be more than 30 years of age as on 01/01/2022.

b. Compensation, allowances and entitlements for YPs:

Details Compensation (INR)

Monthly basic salary (Consolidated) 40,000 per month

Monthly communication allowance 5,000 per month

Incremental award 5000 for each year of relevant experience

Apart from monthly remuneration, other entitlements would be same as PBSSD, Establishment contractual staff.
