Internship

We as a part of the Social Informatics Research Group, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is working on a project named “Social Inclusion through Digital Inclusion” where we are trying to bridge the rural-urban knowledge divide using Internet enabled social technologies. We are working in collaboration with a start-up named NexConnect incubated in IIMCIP.

In this context we are calling for students to work with us as Summer Interns for a period of two months in the following capacities:

1.      Digital Content Developers for English and Mathematics:

Ten students from English and Science background with Mathematics as an expertise may apply. Students must know Bengali. They will help us in developing digital content for underserved students of Bengal in Mathematics and English following Bengal Board Syllabus.

Criteria:

·         For English Content Development: Pursuing B.A in English Hons

·         For Mathematics Content Development: Pursuing MSc with at least 80% marks in Mathematics in Higher Secondary.

·         Must know Bengali

             

2.      Rural Field worker:

Students with an interest in field work and rural marketing can apply. They have to work in rural fields working on development of local rural communities.

Criteria

Sociology graduates or anyone with an interest in working in rural areas. Must know Bengali
