The Lalbaba Engineering group was founded in the year 1961 by Mr. ML Dhanuka. What started as a small manufacturing unit in Belur, Howrah has grown significantly into an engineering conglomerate manufacturing a wide gamut of products. Lalbaba Engineering Group is present across diverse industries including railways, energy, automotive, earthmoving, mining, defense among others. However, the nucleus of the Lalbaba Group has been the Wagon Building and Freight Industry, which has served as a vendor of eminence for over 6 decades. Over the years, the Lalbaba group has become an integral part of the rail freight industry’s supply chain and today the group proudly claims to have contributed to every wagon in the Indian Railways’ fleet.
Today Lalbaba Engineering Group has three manufacturing units in West Bengal. The first unit, Lal Baba Seamless Tubes Pvt. Ltd. is in Haldia. This is the flagship unit of the group and a leading manufacturer of Cold Drawn Carbon and Alloy Seamless Tubes and Pipes with an installed output capacity of 36000 Metric Tons per annum. The company has recently ventured into the production of Stainless-Steel pipes also as a part of our honorable PM’s initiative of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Products of Lal Baba Seamless Tubes are used in several significant industries such as earth moving equipment, farm equipment, commercial vehicles, railways, oil and gas, and mining, among others. To ensure a rich portfolio along with the products’ quality the company has invested significantly in a 700,000 square feet plant, with the most modern. The company prides its versatility and guarantees the production of pipes to suit individual customer’s explicit needs.
The second unit of the group is PEW Engineering Pvt. Ltd., with its plant at Howrah. The PEW facility at Ghusuri, Howrah manufacturers slack adjusters for wagons approved by RDSO, brake cylinders, reservoirs, and distribution valves along with other vital components. This facility with 11 CNC machines is one of the leading component suppliers in the industry. The third unit at Uluberia near Kolkata is equipped with furnaces and forging hammers which can produce precision forging up to a weight of 25Kg. The facility is equipped with a precision die-making facility as well as CNC machining centers. This unit has been a reliable supplier for many years to the Indian Railways, Defense, and various steel plants. Lalbaba Engineering Group is proud of the fact that for the last 6 decades, it has developed its segment and made a significant presence in it. I.INTERN 1: DIGITAL MARKETING internship
Tenure: 4 Months
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Manage the brand’s social media accounts
2. Brainstorm campaign ideas
3. Monitor various social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn - Reach
4. Analyze analytics to gauge the success of campaigns
5. Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes
6. Assist in creating performance reports
7. Help in content and design creation for social media posts
II. INTERN 2: Web Development internship
Tenure: 3 Months
Selected intern would work on following:
1. Working with PHP and MySQL to design, develop and debug web applications
2. Integrating back-end services with PHP/Javascript based front end needs
3. Working with the team to manage, optimize and customize multiple web applications
4. Creating and maintaining technical documentation
Stipend:
Fixed – 5K / Month
Variable - 3K (Performance Based)
