We are looking to hire bright minds for our Future TBB Leader program
About Tea Buying & Blending Function - We are hiring young talent for our Tea Buying and Blending vertical who could be the leaders of tomorrow. As such- the program is christened as the “Future TBB Leader Program”. The function plays a crucial role in our market competitiveness in the Tea category and creates blends for the Brands which consumers truly love. We are one of the largest buyers of Black Tea, Green Tea, Decaffeinated Tea, Herbal Infusions/Botanicals, Flavours, Instant Tea in the country. TCPL has Primary Buying Centres (PBCs) operating out of Guwahati, Kolkata, Siliguri & Kochi locations within India. They play an important role in sourcing the best quality teas through Auction & Private Buying at the right cost and time. The key responsibilities within PBCs involve:-
✓ Tasting and Grading of Tea based on parameters like Leaf appearance, Size, Color, Sparkle, Body & Zing
✓ Quoting and Forecasting ✓ Negotiations and Buying ✓ Managing inland logistics
The tea Blending team keeps a close pulse on consumer taste preferences and creates appropriate blends suiting their taste palate.
The key responsibilities involve:-
✓ Ensuring the right blend at the right place and right cost ✓ Development of new blends ✓ Market research ✓ Blend optimization and planning ✓ Forecast of blend prices ✓ Optimization and rationalization on the specific blends allocated ✓ Stock management for the allocated plant
The function carries out its activities while making efforts to be socially responsible and ecologically sustainable.
Future TBB Leader Program - Objectives
To create a talent pipeline within the TBB function and create our future leaders. The program over a period of 6 months aims to build capabilities for success through various Learning experiences:
✓ A stint in Blending ✓ Stint in Buying Centre ✓ Stint in Planning ✓ On the Job mentoring
Post these 6 months Learning inputs- a Test will be conducted to evaluate the absorption of Learning and preparedness for the role. Confirmations will be based on the successful clearing of this assessment.
Post Confirmation:
✓ Buyer or Blender role for 24 + months. ✓ Rotation Stint across Buying/ Blending/ Planning verticals of TBB for 24+ months ✓ International Stint of 18+ months based on requirements ✓ Career advancement opportunities based on performance; demonstrated capability and career aspirations

CTC: Rs. 8/- lacs/pa + One-time deferred bonus of INR 2 lacs after 2 years
