About PRS & LAMP Fellowship:
To give you a brief background about us, PRS is a non-profit organisation that provides MPs and MLAs with non-partisan research on legislative and policy issues. Currently, more than 400 MPs from both houses of Parliament reach out to us for research. We were incubated at the Centre for Policy Research(CPR) in 2005 and became an independent institution in 2011. Our analysis on Bills and data about the functioning of Parliament over the last 13 years can be accessed at www.prsindia.org.
The LAMP Fellowship instituted at PRS is one of India's most coveted Fellowship programs that allows bright young Indians to be mentored by a Member of Parliament for a period of 10-11 months. It also provides them with a firsthand exposure to the policy making process at the national level. The Fellows will be based in New Delhi during the Fellowship Period and work full time with an MP. The LAMP cohort of 2018-19 has 53 Fellows from diverse academic backgrounds and working across 18 different political parties, both national & regional, and across both houses of Parliament.
