This year, we have launched a unique Internship and Ambassador program for select colleges and universities across the globe. In India, we have shortlisted St Xavier's College, an institute that can provide us quality students who can successfully complete the internship and represent your institution to our campus in Florida.
The opportunity we are offering your students is twofold.
To begin with, we are shortlisting students from St Xavier's College, Kolkata, who can intern with us (online) in Aug – Sep 2021. This is a paid internship that will last for three weeks (15 working days). The remuneration is bespoke but to give some perspective, the average amount earned by a student last year was USD 374 in the three weeks window. There are no specific timings during this internship, and the students are expected to work 1.5-2 hours a day, online and after college hours only. The dates of the internship will vary as per the exam schedule of your institution, as we do not expect students to work just before or during the exam periods. While all details about the internship will be explained to the students before they sign up, you are apprised that nothing about the internship is related to ‘Maths’ as a subject. Our Academic Committee manages all the mathematics content. This internship will relate to various other duties involving the Olympiad.
The second aspect of this internship is an all-expense-paid trip to our campus in Florida. Candidates who excel in this internship will be nominated as a brand ambassadors representing St Xavier's College, Kolkata, at a fully sponsored 10-day conclave at our campus in Florida. Of course, more details would be shared with you and the selected candidates well before the conclave. The conclave is scheduled to be conducted from Jan 4 to Jan 13 2022.
Once IMOC shortlists the registered candidates, the internship and the Student Ambassador Program details will be explained to these students during a webinar this month (Aug 2021).
Eligibility – To participate, the student should be a current bonafide student pursuing Under-graduation or Post-Graduation from St Xavier's College, Kolkata, in any discipline. Ex-students/alumni cannot be invited to this internship.
