Position 1:  Research Manager

Role Description

You will support in the design, set up and management of research projects and administrative tasks. It is expected that you have mastered research basics and developed the ability to undertake project management tasks without supervision.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

- Highly organised in project management, while working on multiple studies

- Attends to clients’ research needs independently with minimal supervision from Managers

- Prepares proposals and cost estimates for projects using innovative, customized research methodologies and business solutions

- Takes control in developing presentations for the client with the suggestions from Senior team members.

- Monitoring of individual job costs throughout a project with minimal supervision of seniors

- Facilitating managers to ensure all procedures and policies are adhered to

- Accountable for the accurate and timely delivery of account outputs including data tables, KPIs, presentations, reports and workshops – balancing own analysis and creation of deliverables with delegating across functions

- Day to day involvement with projects for their clients, including:

o Design questionnaires aligned to client’s central question

o Liaison with Project Management & Operations teams

o Plan preparation and interpreting data for presentation

o Drafts basic proposals, presentations/reports/deliverables which address key objectives and tell a story with clarity and insight

o Monitoring cost of projects

- Learn and demonstrate high standards of client service

The following skills are essential:

- 1 to 3 years of prior work experience in marketing / market research / analytics / related fields

- Strong statistical & analytical skills

- Should be able to work with diverse talents

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Commercial acumen

- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal

- Developing skills in making strong and effective presentations


Position 2:  Account Manager

Role Description

Be the key point of contact for a portfolio of clients, providing actionable insights for growth.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

- Account development : Grow & advance how clients see our role in their businesses, giving them actionable insights and the confidence that we are the right partner for their needs. 

- Collaboration : Taking ownership of client relationships across the portfolio, using our data to tell compelling stories based on business questions and demonstrating your knowledge and expertise of our services. 

- Revenue : You will have a Commercial target and work with your team to identify leads across your portfolio, by finding and developing conversations, maintaining strong client relationships and being close to their key business questions. 

- Manage accounts to ensure as a team all account deliverables are met. Use relationships and touchpoints to understand your clients’ challenges and wider goals, and partner with them to help answer their questions through either contracted services or suggesting bespoke ad-hoc projects.

- Identifying & developing new business opportunities amongst existing clients and outside the existing client base with guidance from Manager

- Develop in-depth knowledge and understanding of your clients and their business in all interactions with clients, and deliverables and analysis conducted for them

- Building strong working relationships with key data partners in and outside Kantar to stay up to date with innovations in the research community

- Work with the Account Director to create and drive forward account plans for your portfolio.

- Account in managing project profitability across the project lifecyle

- Work closely with your team to coach them in their development, acting as a role model and feeding back when appropriate

• 4+ years of prior work experience in marketing / market research / analytics / related fields

• Should be able to collaborate across teams

• Good commercial acumen

• Background and experience in P&L management

• Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships

Position 3: Associate Research Executive

India – Kolkata/ Gurgaon/ Bangalore/ Mumbai

Role Description

An Associate Research Executive role at Kantar is the first step to building a strong analytical foundation in the world of Consumer Insights. We are looking for enthusiastic learners to translate data into compelling stories and gain a sound understanding of research techniques and their application. This is an exciting growth opportunity, to build your capabilities in research and position yourself for expanded career opportunities. As part of this Insights team, you will join a team with a focus on specific expertise (Brand Guidance, Innovation, Segmentation) and benefit from the guidance of senior managers and directors in the industry. The scope of work would include multi-country projects for our International client headquartered in London and operating in 50+ markets across the Globe.

Key outcomes will involve:

 Analysis & Insights: Developing data interpretation and analytical skills to detect trends and looking for insights to develop hypothesis/ solve for business questions. Building expertise in various analytical software & exploring new research techniques & platforms.

 Supporting other research activities such as questionnaires, sampling & preparation of reports Subsequently, outcomes will involve:

 Research Design: Building a familiarity with research techniques and sharpening analytical skills for implementation across projects.

 Project Overview & Management: Planning and coordination between internal and other Kantar colleagues to meet project milestones.

Our client is a FTSE 100 Global client, headquartered in London and operating in more than 50 markets across the Globe. While most of our colleagues are based in Kolkata, we have colleagues who work across different Kantar offices in Bangalore/ Mumbai/ Gurgaon, in India. Some of our teams service our clients directly from India, while others are in London and other onsite locations. Our Graduate Program is a two-year-program, which consists of development modules, mentorship, challenging assignments and on-the-job learning. During the two years you will work across different aspects which could range from research design, analysis, insights and reporting with exposure to how we ultimately drive impact for our clients. If you are passionate to begin your career in the market research industry, this is an entry level role to the industry, which enables you to develop strong foundations in the Consumer Insights space. Usually after 1 year in the program candidates move up to the role of an Associate Research Manager. After a total of two years while continuing under the program, candidates will be eligible to become Research Managers. This role will give you an opportunity to develop new skills, learn, grow and give you the experience of working with colleagues and clients from across the Globe.
