The Administration Music Publishing, Inc. (or Admin MP) is one of the largest independent music publishers in the US with offices in Nashville and Los Angeles. We work with songwriters and composers to manage their copyrights and collect royalties on them. With a largely hip-hop and rap catalog, Admin MP represents over 45,000 songs including Black Skinhead and Mercy by Kanye West, My Ex's Best Friend by Machine Gun Kelly, Rapstar by Polo G, What’s Beef by The Notorious B.I.G. and Wake Up In the Sky by Gucci Mane. Admin MP is now expanding to the Indian subcontinent to provide these services to songwriters and composers in India, and to collect for the use of our existing catalog in India. With that in mind, we are looking to hire enthusiastic individuals to help us set up operations in India. As a member of the Admin MP team, you will play a role in the timely registration of our clients’ music while developing strategies to grow our reach in India.

Required: Fresh Graduate 2021 batch of B.Com/BMS/M.Com - Marketing, Mass Comm, BA General or anyone interested

Job Responsibilities

• Online research – scouting PRO public databases (e.g., ASCAP, BMI, IPRS) and music indexing websites (e.g., Genius, Discogs) for important songwriter/composer information

• Database management – work on G Suite and MusicMaestro to systematically catalog essential song information such as artist info, ISRC codes, IP chains, etc.

• Email correspondence – communicate with clients and third parties on vital matters including song registrations, conflicts, and split confirmations

• Business development – coordinate with the team on formulating and implementing important strategic goals and decisions to help expand the business of the company

As part of a growing organization, you will be expected to play an active role in the day-to-day operations of the company. You will be given responsibility and sufficient authority to carry out your tasks to the best of your ability. The current Admin MP team is made up of individuals who have a strong sense of accountability, are detail-oriented, can work with high volumes of data, and can carry out tasks without the need for constant supervision. The same will be expected of you.

Work experience is not a must to apply for this role, although experience in the music (or entertainment) industry is beneficial. Selected candidates will undergo required training to give them the knowledge needed to work in the field of music publishing and distribution.

The location for this role is Kolkata, West Bengal and the annual CTC will be INR 6,60,000. The expected joining would be in the month of September/October.
