Web Developer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design and layout of our website. Web Developer Job Duties: Web developer responsibilities include building our website from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.
About Uptownie: Uptownie is an online fashion label that retails women’s apparel, accessories and footwear. Founded in 2015 by Priyanka Agarwal (Duke University, LSE), the fashion brand retails via Uptownie.com and through leading e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Jabong, etc.
Tasks to be Handled: • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices • Create website layout/user interface • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs • Be responsibile for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities • Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
Web Developer Skills and Qualifications: JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, PHP, MYSQL, Bootstrap, JSON / XML, Web Programming Skills, E-Commerce, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API's • Proven working experience in web programming • Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process • Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques. • BS in computer science or a related field
Compensation and benefits: Salary is negotiable based on applicant profile Young, friendly work environment with high level of flexibility in terms of leading and driving projects
