Position: LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Are you an energetic, self-motivated individual seeking a fun and challenging opportunity working with children and teaching motor skill development classes? If so you may be just the person we’re looking for!

Instructors report directly to the Program Director and are responsible for teaching exceptional classes and delivering The Little Gym programs according to standards and recommendations. To teach the best classes, an Instructor must be physically fit, energetic, and enthusiastic.

 An Instructor must have the ability to juggle several tasks and adapt well to change. S/he must relate well to children, parents, and team members. Instructors are also the front line of customer communication and service. They must be able to assist in the promotion of The Little Gym and sell the program at every opportunity.

Lead Instructor Specific Duties:

Under the direction and supervision of the Program Director, the Lead

Instructors’ duties include:

-70 – 85% of working hours will be spent teaching exceptional classes as scheduled. Variation in time is dependent on other tasks and responsibilities assigned.

-The focal point of a class or other event is the Lead Instructor. S/he is the person in charge of the majority of the activities, timing, and communication within the class or event.

-Coordinate all instructors to ensure all duties are completed and the class or event runs smoothly.

-Be the main contact for parents. Build relationships with the members and potential

members in that program.

A background in child development, Sports management, physical education and gymnastics is certainly a plus and prior management and/or strong customer service experience is preferred. A college degree or equivalent is preferred. This is a full time salaried position based out of Kolkata.
