Looking for Graduate Media Monitoring experts with 1-3 years’ experience for our Hyderabad location.

We @ Cognizant are conducting Walk-in interviews in Kolkata on the below mentioned dates.

Media Monitoring Analyst    
Media Monitoring Analyst will be responsible for understanding client requirements and processing of news articles accordingly. They will categorize articles and validate every aspect of each verbatim of articles enabling clients to effectively track media coverage and sentiments in real time.
Job Responsibilities
·      Understand client briefs & categorise the news according to specified criteria’s (media channel, region, topic, etc.)
·      Reading and validating the relevant news articles based on specified client requirement briefs
·      Summarise or provide synopsis of the relevant news articles
·      Work to agreed product targets






Qualification and Skills/ competencies required
·      Graduate or Post Graduate with a degree in Mass Communication, Journalism and Arts ( English Literature)
·      Knowledge of print & digital media and editorials is preferable but not mandatory
·      Excellent understanding of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
·      Excellent summary writing and editorial skills
·      Write summaries in 8-10 lines, under 4 minutes per article (300-1,000 words)
·      Stay up-to-date with relevant news to ensure full coverage of core subject areas (e.g.: retail, finance, consumer, etc.)
·      Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven work environment
·      Willingness to work overtime, if required

Media Monitoring Analyst (Team Lead)  
Media Monitoring Team Leads will be responsible for processing a large volume of news articles at a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.  They will validate every aspect of each article verbatim, articulate and summarise articles in a clear, concise and engaging way for the target audience. Team Leads will also be responsible for guiding, assisting and leading team members to perform and meet targets on a consistent basis.


Job Responsibilities
·      Understand complex client briefs and process large volumes of articles at a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
·      Articulate and write highly complex editorial summaries for specific events
·      Lead a team of analysts/ associates and mentor them to produce high quality output/summaries
·      Provide feedback & help the team in filling gaps in performance
·      Respond to queries from client/ management clearly and quickly
·      Interact with clients and build relationships
·      Be able to work autonomously as well as in a team 

Qualification and Skills/ competencies required

c. 3 copies of current CV / RESUME 
d. 3 copies of current passport size photograph
e. Original mark sheet (till date) and other documents and a set of photocopy, Stapler, Gluestick

g. Must carry SXC ID card
