Professor Anil Gupta is a name not uncommon in social sector of the country. With a portfolio of more than 30 years working for creative communities at grassroots in scouting and documenting grass-root innovations, he holds rich experience in the fields of social, agricultural, educational, technological, and institutional innovation. Founder of Honey Bee Network, SRISTI, GIAN, and NIF, ex-faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and current visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Bombay, he has been awarded with many distinguished honours including Padma Shri. In his mission to expand global as well as local space for innovations for and from grassroots, he has walked more than 5000 kms across country, linking ideas in informal and formal sectors and ensuring recognition, respect, and reward for creative communities, individuals, and children through frugal, flexible, and empathetic methods.
SRISTI is a developmental voluntary organisation aiming to strengthen the creativity of grassroots communities. It supports eco-friendly solutions to local problems being scouted, spawned and spread by Honey Bee Network for over 26 years. It also nurtures ecopreneurs engaged in conserving biodiversity, common property resources, cultural diversity, and document and support educational and technological innovations as well as their respective innovators.
We are happy to announce that we are offering opportunities to young students to work with us and learn from grass-roots communities.
