 Internship

Youth Action Hubs is a global initiative taken by UNCTAD, running in over 40 countries. It was developed at the UNCTAD Youth Forum in October 2018 in Geneva, with the principle of "for the youth, by the youth".

 What is SDG Research Labs?

It is one of the verticals within the YAH - India family which ideates, coordinates and administers YAH undertakings. It consists of a team of around 30 young changemakers who are looking to advance their journeys as SDG advocates by launching and participating in projects, campaigns and collective action with support of the UNCTAD Youth Network.

 Roles and Responsibilities:

 HR Interns:

1. Coordinating with the central team to review student applications

2. Scheduling and conducting interviews with incoming recruits and fellows

3. Transcribing and coordinating group discussions

4. Organising in-house events and ideating incentive schemes

 Research Interns:

1. Curating training modules around 17 SDGs including but not limited to games, activities, focus group topics etc.

2. Ideating and creating reports on topics including but not limited to Social Stereotypes, Pop culture etc.

3. The top-performing research interns will be given the opportunity to become mentors at the annual flagship program

 Content Interns:

1. Reporting on events and workshops, activities and press releases conducted by YAH

2. Working on release of program newsletter

3. Ideating and actively working on creative social media content

Important Dates:

Opening of Applications: 3rd May 2021

Application Deadline: 20th May 2021

Commencement: 

For content and research interns: 1st June – 20th June 2021

For HR interns: Upon selection- anytime between May 10-May 20

Important- Applications for HR Interns will be considered on a rolling basis. Their internship period will begin as soon as they are selected. 

 Location: Work from home

 Time Commitment: 4-8 Hours per week (approx.)

 Minimum Duration: 20 days

• Letters of Recommendation will be awarded in case of exemplary performance

• Extensions of the internship tenure may also be provided in case of exemplary performance
