gradCapital is a Venture Capital firm focused on investments in startups run by students and recent graduates (< 2 years since graduation). We are a team of students and alumni from BITS Pilani and IIM-A and we know how difficult it can get for a world-disruptive idea inside a college to see the light of the day. Being in similar shoes at some point, we at gradCapital understand the problems that students face while starting their company.

We are building gradCapital’s operations with the help of students, a network of investors, and a pool of world-class advisors. The world has been through a tough phase, we are all doing what we can to bring things to normality and help innovators.

About the role:

We are inviting applications for the position of an ‘Associate’ in St Xaviers College , who will help us with our goal of investing in student founders. If you want to know more about what this role truly entails and the ideas behind the position, we recommend our blog on  ‘Why associates’.

The role is primarily meant for pre-final year students and provides them with experience helpful in four directions → Venture Capital, Finance and management, Consultancy, and Startups; as has been proven by our last batch of associates.

Eligible Students: We’d love participation from students in any branch!

Eligible graduation year: Preferably graduating in 2022/23. (About to enter pre-final or final year)

Job Description:

• Identify capable teams. This includes filtering and decision-making mechanisms to determine the best hustling talent. Moreover, work with startups to understand their vision, mission, and operating model

• Play a key role in developing campus-specific interventions - leading mentorship programs and boot camps.

• Build and maintain a network of alumni, startups, and mentors across colleges

Location: Remote, Work from home.

Stipend: This is an unpaid part-time internship with a tentative tenure of 6-12months which can be extended/converted into full-time opportunities.

Tentative process: An application form, followed by a round of interviews with qualifying candidates.
