The Social Informatics Research Group (SIRG) at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta requests students from any academic background with interest in social research activities to be a part of a project named “Social Inclusion through digital inclusion” for minimum three months.
The project aspires to create a social knowledge management platform named OwlishOracle (www.owlishoracle.com) where senior citizens can impart quality education to children online. In this context SIRG seeks to hire interns from all backgrounds to develop the best quality elderly resource pool for this online learning platform.
Creating mass awareness about OwlishOracle among different elderly communities in and around Kolkata.
Acquisition of senior teachers and professors, their subsequent empanelment and building a quality resource pool out of them.
Training and assisting them with the necessary operations of the platform
Measuring the level of engagement of the resource pool utilizing various research tools and techniques.
Interns must be extremely Tech-Savvy. They must be familiar with MS-office and basic internet operations.
They must have excellent communication skills.
They must have primary knowledge about data –collection analysis.
Interns having prior research experience in any field will be given preference.
