Bharat Roadways, a pan India based logistics firm, has been in the logistics business for over 60 years with branches across 30 locations in India. The e-commerce boom in India coupled with innovative thinking by the company’s young directors, Manuj Khetawat & Harshit Khetawat, led to the birth of Bookatruck. With an aim to make logistics an easily and competitively manageable part of an enterprise through technology, the founders’ vision is to change the way road transportation is carried out in the country.
Bookatruck aims at organising the Indian logistics industry by providing efficient and economical solutions to all the stakeholders of the road transport industry. It aims at creating an online marketplace where trucks can be booked at best prices by bringing all stakeholders like the transporters, small fleet owners on to the platform.

Position: Business Development Manager - Sales / Marketing and Logistic

Assist the sales head for developing a marketing strategy for the

transportation business consistent with company's overall goals and

available resources

 Identify opportunities for growth in the transportation business and

prepare implementation plan for review/ approval

 Provide inputs in terms of sales forecast and targets to facilitate

sourcing and business planning process

 Plan, forecast and prioritize key action areas for various regions to

achieve the target sales volumes

 Develop and maintain an up to-date sellers well as buyer database

 Ensure the registration of the buyers and sellers on the portal

 Develop an on trade activation schemes and execute the same

 Provide inputs to the Digital and Retail marketing teams for the

campaign designs

Tendering & Sales

 Track buying pattern of major customers and ensure increase in share

of customer wallet over a period of time

 Prepare response to tenders and RFP / RFQs, as appropriate

 Guide sales in development of catalogues and information brochures

to promote BookaTruck

 Continuously track available trucks at various locations


 Ensure collection of dues from customers as per payment and credit

terms and keep the age of these dues within approved norms

 Facilitate periodic reconciliation of accounts with the customers with

support from the Accounts team

Relationship Management  Liaise with important stakeholders like customers and regulatory

authorities in all assigned market territories to ensure positive long

term relationships

 Undertake business trips regularly for the purpose of marketing and
